Halfway homes are residential facilities for probationers and parolees who require a more structured setting that would be available for living independently (Alarid, pg. 182). These homes are supervised at all times and are made for all types of offenders. They are made to help offenders to better themselves and not go back to doing bad things.
This week’s article talks about how a couple opened a home for sex offenders to live in. Yet, they didn’t have the proper permit for them to open up a halfway home for offenders. Which was wrong of them do even open one up in the first place. Why would they want a home full of sex offenders to be living in a neighborhood where there is many people living at.
