Sexual Double Standards within Our Society
Although society has come a long way in regard to gender equality, there is still an abundant absence of gender equality when it comes to the sexual expectations of men and women. The idea of right vs. wrong has become exponentially vague throughout history. Society has blurred the lines between moral values and stereotypical assumptions causing men and women to become subject to countless sexual double standards.
Parenting styles differ from house hold to house hold but there is one common pattern that is linked to many. Young women are typically raised to conduct themselves with grace and elegance. They are encouraged to present themselves with sheer modesty and to always relay a sense of purity
