Statement- This story is about an lost girl named Lila. It's about her finally thinking about her life and accepting things she has kept bottled up for a long time. It's told through Lilas point of view and expresses the way she sees the world and why she makes the choices she makes.

She didn't like to think about all she had been through. She tried to bottle it up and take everything day by day. But now it was becoming too much. She couldn't avoid everything now. She couldn't avoid the mess the world had become, Not without mason to distract her. Mason was the only thing she was living for. As much as she tried to see the light in every situation it was becoming more difficult with every passing second. Soon all she could see in the future was darkness. The click of her spine broke the silence and masons head snapped towards her. He didn't say anything to her. She made the assumption the mouth sores stage of the flu had begun. It never ceased to amaze her how fast the flu killed. It only took a few hours. Lila silently passed him the bottle of water from her backpack. That should soothe his mouth, if only for a few seconds. He took the water, taking extra care not to touch her hands, and smiled weakly at her. He looked up and drank, the water rushing down his raw throat. He downed nearly half the bottle before placing it beside him. Lila wasted no time in grabbing the bottle and taking an large drink herself.
