The disease progresses from many symptoms, including pain, burning, numbness or tingling, sensitivity to touch. Then a red rash begins a few days after the pain, fluid-filled blisters from the rash will begin to break and crust over and most common itching occurs. After one to five days, a shingles rash will appear in a single characteristic band around one side of the typical torso or the face.
