A person identity depends upon their choices is revealed in Hernando Tellez’s short story, “Just Lather, That’s All.” Captain Torres chooses to follow the command from the people in power above him. “We brought back same dead, and we’ve got some others still alive. But pretty soon they’ll all be dead.” (Captain T ores) Clearly, this quote tells us that Captain Torres only follows the order to put the entire rebel in fear. He did what he had to and he believes by killing and torturing the rebel will stop the revolution.
