I chose this section because I love the way it explains how to write details. The author Shelley Reid explains, "I care you know exactly what I'm thinking, the more the details matter to me, the more information I need to give you." Having lots of details or information in any writing gives a clearer vision on what the writer is trying to write about. It also gives the reader an understanding of one's writing. Reid states, "does that help you see how the onetime-only example you were thinking of, when you read my boring sentence along with your own mind, is different from what I wanted you to think?" The author here is trying to get the writer to understand that if there is one specific idea that is important, then one should try to detail it correctly. This will help me in my writing for sure to state a clearer vision to my reader. These two sections actually surprised me because I usually lack both of these two concepts, but now I get an idea on how to improve my writing skills. I know I will come across these two topics in the future and will refer back to this
