Some people believe the elderly should pay for bus rides because everyone else has to. People out there feel that it isn’t right for them to get rides for free when other people do not. Why should they get rides for free when pregnant women, poor people, injured people, and people who just can’t drive have to pay? These are some of the questions people will ask. Some people also think that some of the elderly will take advantage of free bus rides like riding some of the more expensive busses to go across country. But, in my opinion, they are wrong. The elderly have been around a long time and worked hard to earn the money they have now. I’m also pretty sure they don’t make all that money just to spend a good fraction of it just to ride a bus. Also, riding the bus is the only way most elderly people can even get anywhere. Unlike old people, pregnant women and poor people can still drive. Plus, when it comes to injured people, if the injury is bad enough they won’t be working, which means they won’t have to drive anywhere.( http://www.debate.org/opinions/should-the-elderly-get-free-bus-rides
