Have you heard of all the accident and deaths that have happen because people where on the phone while driving? I guess one text/call is more important than your life? I believe if people put there phone away in the glove department or anywhere away from them while driving their live and others lives will be saved! According to National Safety Council roughly about 1.6 million crashes are caused by someone using a phone when driving, with that being said I believe being on the while driving should be banned!

When driving you need to be aware of your surroundings and while your on your phone your distracted and not paying attention to your surroundings. According to National Safety Council answering a text takes away your attention for about five seconds. Traveling at 55 mph, that's enough time to travel the length of a football field. As you see just those few seconds you travel pretty far and if your looking down at your phone that could cause a very nasty accident! Imagine your on the street driving and your looking down at your phone and theres a red light and a pedestrian is the crossing the road and you hit them! Not only did you hurt them you could possibly get charged with murder. So being alert and aware of your surroundings are very important. …show more content…
