When they leave campus, students would have too many opportunities to make bad choices. When kids leave school property, the school would still be responsible for them. If anything happens to the students, the school is liable, and thus would lose money by compensating the family. Additionally, there would be a larger chance that students would ditch. The students would miss classes after lunch and therefore, lose out on their education. If students were not allowed to leave campus, the number of students who ditch would lower significantly. Furthermore, if students ate very fast, what else would they do for the rest of the lunch period? The school day would be elongated by forty minutes, which would affect the bus schedule. Treasure Mountain would get out at almost the same time as the elementary schools. The buses would not be able to make all of their rounds in time for each school. School being dismissed forty minutes later also affects after school activities. They would have to be moved back, allowing students to get to them on time or more students would need to get early release. Making the school day longer does not only affect the district but the entire community. In conclusion, the school should not allow students to leave campus and lengthen the school
