Should schools be able to raise money from selling sugary snacks and drinks? Some schools took the vending machines with all of the sugary items out of schools. (Chris Woolston) They think these items will cause obesity or even diabetes. (Chris Woolston) Some teachers are even sending home letters with students to inform their parents on what their kids can and cannot have at school. (Cheryl Brown) Others think that schools need to get rid of vending machines because obesity rates have doubled over the last two decades.
