Through direct contact such as kissing, touching, biting, animal bite, or sexual contact will allow you to spread the disease without you even noticing. If a woman is pregnant and they catch the disease, it will be passed down to their child through the placenta or during childbirth. Touching contaminated objects such as a shopping cart, toilet handle, or door knob can hold pathogens after an infected person touches them. Contaminated food/water can infect a person just as easily as direct contact. When food is left out without refrigeration or proper storage it gets spoiled and becomes rotten, allowing the growth of bacteria to eat itself
