Australia and China adopt very different economic systems in order to cater the best for their society. However, Australia's economic system is more successful than China's and, can be measured in terms of environmental efficiency, labour and resource efficiency and the standard of living. The similarities and differences between Australia and China Economy, Australia and China provide an interesting comparison of economic systems.

The form of government in Australia is called a constitutional monarchy. The Australian Constitution sets out the rules of how the power to govern should be shared like the separation of powers. The constitution also decides on how the country should be governed including the responsibilities of each level of government - federal, state and local. The Federal Parliament consists of the Governor-General, representing the Queen, the House of Representatives and the Senate. The NSW parliament consists of the Governor of NSW, representing the Queen, the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly. Each …show more content…
The media such as the news magazines etc is controlled by the party and the internet is strictly monitored and changed. China has also banned the usage of facebook so people are unable to protest, especially about topics that involve democracy. In 1989 thousands of students protested for democracy for Beijing and the Communist party sent their army to kill all the protestors. This once again shows us that there is no tolerance for any person who disagrees with the government.
Australia however is a democratic country with a parliamentary system where people have the right to gather and form political parties. The media is also separate from the government and access to any social media sites are all available to the people of Australia.
