In the Dynastic cycle, the Shang and Han Dynasties of ancient China showed similar periods of Decline. Both of these had their similarities, but also their differences. Differences for these Dynasties was that in the Shang Dynasty, they actually believed that the main job of the ruler was to make sacrifices so that a Chinese god Di would give them lots of crops. This, of course, wasn’t true, because it probably never happened. The differences in the Han Dynasty was that they actually stopped doing their trade routes, and their relationships with the people in the trade routes were going down. When the Han Dynasty was in real trouble, no one went to help them and this resulted in the downfall of the Han Dynasty. The similarities for these Dynasties
