In the adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Twain satirizes the idea of civil war compared to this family feud. He claims that the civil war was basically stupid and pointless and that is exactly what’s going on between these two families. The Grangefords and the Sheptherfords both carry pride and honor in their family which I think every family should have except when you start to should conceded. In this time honor was very important in the south. The feud depicts that both sides do think highly of one another however continually kill each other.
