The first theory Shawn falls under is the biosocial theory. Even though Shawn has both parents at home his father is usually away for business and his mother is an alcoholic. Which is why I believe he has a poor family life. Shawn also suffers from substance abuse which has caused him to be kicked out of school twice. The second theory that Shawn falls under is the social conflict theory. Shawn's parents are wealthy and I believe had an influence in the courts decision of keeping him in the juvenile court and his family argued in court that they wanted to keep the family close and the judge sentenced him to a juvenile facility. The courts also had his family pay for better counseling for Shawn.

Jose also should be moved to a location so that he could be able to go to his drug counseling. A half way house might be better for him. Since he was arrested he will probably lose his job at the local park so he will need to find a new job. Jose also needs to find a good mentor. Manny
The general theory of crime it the first theory that Manny fits. Manny said that he cant change and if someone disrespects him or his family he has to retaliate . I believe that he cant change his behavior and lacks the self control to not retaliate. The second theory that fits Manny is the biosocial theory. Manny had no father while growing up and grew up in a bad neighborhood which lead him towards the street for proper guidance. He did that by joining a gang.
The person I believe that needs to most help is Manny. Manny is already has 2 strikes under the 3 strikes rule so one more charge he will be sentenced to like in prison. I think Manny needs some type of anger management treatment. And when Manny gets out of prison he will be 27 years old. Manny needs to get his GED and he should work in prison so he could learn a skill or a trait so he can use it outside. He also has a kid that he wants to be in the life of so he should find a good role model so he can help raise
