I. Client Demographics
Kenneth is a 70-year-old, White, American male from Pompano Beach, Florida. He moved to Miami in the late 1990’s after his marriage dissolved. Kenneth is a Vietnam Veteran, retired from Ford Car Company, and currently resides in the Wellington Halfway House downtown Miami, where he rents an efficiency on a monthly basis. Kenneth stated, he has no known family members, although, he recalled having two half siblings, but has no knowledge of their where about and how to contact them. Kenneth declared he has no children of his own.
II. Agency

Presenting Problem
Kenneth presenting problem is alcoholism. He stated that he uses alcohol to deal with all his problems and pain. Which leads to depression and that contributed to his homelessness. He said he is a functional drunk based on his behaviors. He stated that he is irresponsible with his money, which leads to financial problems. Kenneth said he spends all his money on alcohol and women. He is currently living without electricity and he stated that he is always late on his rent. Kenneth stated he is worried and in fear of being back on the street due to not paying his rent or electric bill.
IV. Strengths/Resources
Strengths
Kenneth stated his support system is his peers at the Miami Veteran Hospital He stated that he realized how dishonest he had been not just with other people, but also with himself. He tries to begin each day with a positive outlook and decided to accept what happened as part of the process and continue to move forward.
Kenneth asks for help from the social worker and intern and is seeking assistance to enable him to broaden his horizons that will give him a chance to grow on his path to recovery
