Christians need to know is that gifts were meant to work together. This is a sign of proper utilization of the gift. For example, if someone is speaking in tongues, an interpreter will be present. We have to ask ourselves: Is the gift being utilized to edify and glorify God or self?. If the gift is to edify God, I would say it is being used properly. The Apostle Paul tells us that no Christian can work the gift given by the Holy Spirit through a demonic force. It is a test to see if the gift is true or false. It is possible for a Christian to use a gift for the wrong purpose. That purpose can be self-gain or pride. That is what Paul warned the Corinthians about. As Christians we cannot judge but must use discernment in every aspect of our walk with God.
