My saint is St. Joan of Arc. Her birthday was January 6, 1412. During St. Joan of Arc’s early life, France was in a war with England. Many people in Joan’s village had to leave their homes for fear of being invaded. She dealt with this issue by leading the French army during one of the battles and won it.
St. Joan of Arc was born to very poor parents in the village of Domremy. When she was little, people said she heard the voices of St. Michael, St. Catherine, and St. Margaret. When she was 13, she saw them in visions and they told her to remove the English army from the French territory. After she saw them in visions she cried and said they were so beautiful.
