Imagine if you were being discriminated against, tortured, and murdered just because you identified as a certain religion. Forced to wear a marking that was supposed to be a symbol of happiness and hope amongst your heritage , that is then twisted into a symbol of isolation and fear , keeping you from everything, and everyone. The Star of David was a symbol of hope and jewish religion/heritage, but that all changed when Islam and Hitler used it as a sign of identification. The Star of David is no longer seen in a negative light these days, but it was not always that way; 75 years ago people, didn’t see it as a symbol that spread hope but as a symbol that spread fear.

To begin with, The Star of David is a very old and religious symbol. The Star of David goes all the way back to king David in the jewish bible( Errickson Parry). King David would refer to God as his shield and that is how the Star of dDavid began( Errickson Parry).
