Stephen King’s novel is not only a dark and electrifying novel about fanaticism, addiction but it also talks about what might exist on the other side of human life especially the life after death. This paper discusses about reverend Charles Jacobs and his activities beginning from the time he began his mission in Maine to the time after the death of his wife as well as his association with Jamie Morton who became is personal assistant especially during Charles Jacobs’s determination to understand what happens after death.
The theme of religion; It begins with Charles Jacobs who became a new minister and this seemed to go down well with everybody in the tiny city of Maine. For instance, the little Jamie Morton was so happy and excited. Additionally, his wife and son were also loved to a great extent by all members of the little town of Maine. He teaches the youth through the electrifying treatment and this action enhances his love and connection with the community.
