Zootopia
Zootopia is a great fiction movie that is not only great for children, but also great for adults to watch as well. Different people and critics thought different things like what was the bad and good things about the issues that they pointed out when they first saw the trailer and when they saw the whole movie. The audience they were trying to catch were both kids and adults. Since it is a Disney movie, they were most likely aiming for kids, but some might say it was a bit too much for a kid’s movie others say it was a good movie for them. There was a lot stereotype issues, sexism, and racism. This stuff can show kids how life really is but some people might disagree and say its too much for kids.

Perhaps to teach kids not to judge others and that we are all human beings. That is what they were explaining in the trailer, that every animal can live in harmony just like us. Jason Guerrasio said, “This dives into topics of stereotypes and the harm they cause in a triumph by Disney that hopefully encourages parents and their children to have discussions while heading back home from the theater” (1) Sounds like they want to show them a clear lesson on how you shouldn’t stereotype others just like in the movie. Jason Guerrasio also said, “what’s great is Zootopia isn’t scared to raise issues, even highly sensitive ones” (1) I think that what he pointed out is true but it can be hard for younger children to understand. Mara Mullikin said, “This can be transferred to reality. We shouldn’t generalize a group of people for a separate person or person’s horrific actions.” (1) People often do that in real life. For example, like on the news I always see that not all people get the same advantages as other races. Some get …show more content…
They all have their own opinion on things and how racism in the movie is either a good or a bad thing to have in a children’s movie. There are so many voices that people have some kind of input on what should be in a kid’s movie and what should not be. I say that the racism, feminism, and sexism that is used in the movie may be a little too hard for kids to understand which I would have to agree on but I think it’s a good way of showing kids a way of what’s its like for what is going on now in the real world. The grown ups will understand and will probably have to explain what is going on in the movie besides the little funny parts that happen. I personally think this is a great movie for kids to learn about these things and what goes on in the real world without making it to harsh. So I say give it a
