Sugar is a subject that is argued about being both good and bad for our bodies. These sugars we eat everday can benefit and hurt people. Sugars are a big debate, but all adds up to the person who consumes it. Konie is more effective in persuading the audience to consider the importance of natural sugars to the body. Sugar is essential to get people through the day. Sugar is necessary to the body but not the artificial sugars similar to cookies and ice cream. Konie explains that “sugar is preferred and most efficient fuel source”. Eating more fruits will contribute those natural sugars to your body. Natural sugars are good for the body and all fruits carry natural sugars. Konie wants people to know that you should not cut out sugars entirely but just get rid of the bad types of sugar foods you eat. Those bad sugars would involve the cakes, cookies and soda. Humans need sugar in their daily lives to get their energy for the day, but Konie realizes that you cannot go too far with any sugars either, bad or good. She thought cutting sugars out would make her healthier but she was not feeling good after a few weeks on her no sugar diet. Once Konie put sugars back in her life, she started going back to her normal self because she had more energy. Is sugar the problem or is it just the balancing of how much we intake? Each person needs sugar but how much rests on our bodys needs, everyone has different levels of needs for their own body. Konie wants you to cut down on how much we eat. Our bodies are all different and we should be eating what we love in moderation and depending on how the food makes our bodies feel. Sugar can definitely get in the way if we consume too much artificial sugars but you can’t just cut it
