Americans are being deceived by their government on matters of immigration. The United States’ government framed immigration and left out the truly important factors. The article “The Framing of Immigration” by George Lakoff and Sam Ferguson attacks the comprehensive immigration reform proposed by President George W. Bush. The authors include multiple problems with President Bush’s immigration reform to articulate their contradiction. Although the authors did not include data to support their argument, their use of logic and emotional appeal is sufficient to support their main claim that the government must change its approach towards the immigration issue in order to properly reform immigration.
