The topic of hunting has long been a debate of ethics and economy. There is many things that each side has to use as weapons, but as for any subject the bulk of supporters are good rule following people. There will always be the over the top people that ruin each side's positive point even though they are the minority. Most of the people you meet will be in the middle not wanting to pick a side, because they see the positives and negatives of each sides and will agree with some points on both. What has made hunting which was a necessity for life a controversial topic. The hunter’s have many reasons to keep hunting. The first and most prevalent is population control, which is keeping the population of animals down to make sure they have enough food and habitat to live on. The farmers even though they may not hunt like that hunter’s kill animals on their land , with permission, to protect crops and livestock. Population control can also make the roads safer for us and the animals. On my way home from a trip to Colorado I saw many Elk dead on the side of the road and one car that had flipped over and hurt the driver because of an animal. most hunters and farmers follow the …show more content…
There are groups like P.E.T.A., people for the ethical treatment of animals ,who want to protect every animal because there have been cases where a species has been hunted to extinction like the passenger pigeon. There have been times when poachers, people who take animals illegally, will kill animals that are endangered or on other people's land like the big story with Cesil the lion making hunting look very bad. Some of the people are concerned with the danger of hunting like having hunters shooting in the direction of other people and their homes. The members of these organisations want to see nature flourish and not suppressed by the hunter and farmers.These are few of the many points that are used to support this
