The concept I found most important to me is Transformational Leadership Intellectual Stimulation. This concept is critical to my progression because it correlates to my current position in the Cyber Defense Flight to train and create new tactics, techniques, and procedures for my Mission Defense Team. Furthermore, according to E-SLAB this concept is my weakest leader trait. I will apply this concept every day at my work by cultivating my subordinates, peers, and supervisors, allowing them to bring forth new ideas but also aid in the defense of our network. The proper application of Transformational Leadership Intellectual Stimulation will directly affect the success of our future missions by cultivating an environment that promotes learning and discussing the reasoning between opposing rationales. I will utilize feedback sessions to implement this concept with my subordinates. During these feedback sessions, I will articulate my vision to my subordinates through two-way communication, and encourage them for their input to make the transition. During the feedback sessions, I will encourage my subordinates to reach out to their Airmen, gather all their thoughts, and inform me on the ideas that they created. Once I finished the feedback sessions, I will hold a meeting with all my Airmen to discuss and analyze the implementation plan. The feedback sessions and flight meeting will give ownership to all parties, stimulate their creativity, and demonstrate that “I” value by highlighting all their inputs.
