the job - a surgeon is someone who specializes in things like doing surgeries or anything that changes the human body. They treat things like injuries, diseases, and deformities. There are different fields of surgery like orthopedic surgery (the treatment of the musculoskeletal system), neurological surgery (treatment of the brain and nervous system), cardiovascular surgery, and plastic or reconstructive surgery.

the qualifications and education needed for the job - university education in either biology, biochemistry, or human physiology. After finishing one of the degrees, you will have to join a surgical residency program for several years. Depending on your skills and what type of surgeon you want to be, this could go on for 3 - 7 years. …show more content…

Tell us what a typical day looks like for someone doing this job - A typical day for a surgeon is different depending on the type of surgeon they are. But generally, a surgeon starts off their day early in the morning and heads right to the hospital or the place they work at. Next they would consult with their patient and maybe some test results before getting ready and doing surgery. After the surgery, they will meet with the patient again to discuss questions, concerns and care. In between some of the surgeries, they sometimes eat a snack or do paper work.
