Abstract Choosing the major that I wanted to pursue in college, wasn’t an easy decision. I was never one of those kids that grew up knowing exactly what they wanted to do when they grew up, I wish I did. When I was in elementary school I thought that I wanted to cut hair, and then once I got into middle school I thought maybe I would want to be a fashion designer. Once I realized that neither one of these career choices were the one for me I started to get serious about a career for me. I soon realized after listening to my dad and working with a good friend, Nicki, that majoring in business administration and minoring in marketing would be a good choice for me.

Who Am I? My name is Taylor Davis. I was originally born in Boston, Massachusetts and then my family lived in Leesburg, Virginia for eight years until we moved to New Philadelphia, Ohio where I have lived for the past 11 years. I have grown up in a very large Italian family with two sisters, Tiffany and Taryn. One of the best things about my family is that we are very close; I don’t know where I would be without them. I spent most of my life in New Philadelphia, which is a very small town. My family owns three Harley-Davidson dealerships, so I have grown up being around the dealerships all my life. I have worked there since I was about 14 years old. Now, at 18 years old I really have learned about the business and enjoy spending time there with my family. Working and growing up in these Harley-Davidson dealerships have really helped make my decision of what I want to do with my life.
In the Beginning Growing up I was never really sure of a career choice that I wanted. I was never one of those kids who knew they wanted to be a doctor or a dentist or anything like that. I thought a lot simpler than that; I thought I wanted to cut hair. I was really close with one of my cousins when I was younger, and she is a beautician, and I thought she was the coolest person ever. So, of course I decided I wanted to be just like her and cut hair too. I thought that I wanted to cut hair and drive around in a silver convertible, and that that would be the best job ever.
Grade School In middle school, I tried to get a little more serious about a career. I realized that I really enjoyed going shopping and picking out clothes. I would go shopping with my mom, sisters, and cousin all the time, and I loved it. I would help my mom and sisters pick out clothes to buy and which outfits they should wear. I really loved clothes and shopping, so I started to think of careers that I could pursue with this. I mean, what could be better than having a job doing something that I love like shopping? So I started thinking of jobs that I could have with this hobby, and I came up with fashion designing. So, I started drawing and coming up with different designs of clothes that I liked, just for fun. I soon realized that I was terrible at drawing, which is an important part of this job, so I decided that this wasn’t exactly the best job choice for me.
High School When I entered high school I tried to start thinking of serious jobs that I would want to pursue for the rest of my life. I wanted to have a job that I really enjoyed going to every day, and could still have a good family life. I started working at my dad’s Harley shop in
