An autistic child or a child who has ADHD will have difficulty following instructions. This is likely to cause parents, teachers and children to react negatively towards them. This can make the child feel angry. They will become easily frustrated. It can cause problems for social and emotional and communication development as if the child feels that they are likely to annoy others than they may not want to speak to anyone as they will fear a negative conclusion. This can cause them to feel alone and misunderstood.
A child with a speech impediment such as a stutter or a lisp is likely to have problems with communication. The child may feel frustrated if people are unable to understand what they are saying. This could lead to the child to isolate themselves from communicating with others and lower any self-confidence the may have. Other children might pick on and bully them which could lead to the child feeling lonely and upset. As well as their communication development being effected, it can also have an effect on their social and emotional development too.
