Ted Kooser has written many poems such as “Late February” in which he captures his style of writing through his personal experiences and insights. To start, Ted Kooser is inspired by many natural objects around him that have influenced him to write this poem. As the Library of Congress recognizes, “‘the first poet laureate chosen from the Great Plains” ("Ted Kooser"). Secondly, Ted Kooser sees nature in such a way that humans normally do not see it. As he says so himself, “I write for other people with the hope that I can help them to see the wonderful things within their everyday experiences.
