Some things that can cause a significant change in someone’s life are wanting to help people and meet a need, a personal realization, and other people and their influences. We can find significant changes as well as their causes everywhere in your life. Here are some examples. There are many ways that people wanting to help others and meet a need can cause a significant change in someone’s life. An example of one of those ways is in the story “Noor Inayat Khan”. A significant change took place in Noor’s life when World War II started. She saw the need for radio operators and France and her life changed forever. There is a another example of someone wanting to help others in “Thank You, Ma'am”. This happens when Roger tries to steal Mrs.Jones purse but instead of turning him in, she shows him kindness and gives him ten dollars to buy blue suede shoes. When we read the story American Childhood we saw an example of that. When Annie finally sees the amoeba she is ecstatic so she goes upstairs to invite her parents to come and look at it. Her parents then kindly tell her that they aren’t interested in seeing the amoeba, this causes Annie to realize that it doesn’t matter what other people think as long as she is doing what she loves. After Scrooge is visited by the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future Scrooge decides to turn his life around for the better.
