The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie is a book about Junior and his troubled adolescent years. Junior left the Spokane Reservation to attend an all-white high school after a heartfelt conversation with a teacher Mr. P. Mr. P spoke life into Junior and encouraged him with his gifted abilities to be more than what he was due to the common reservation life.
