The Beatles are arguably the best band to ever assemble. Their music sounds so pleasing to everyone, which attributed to their success due to their appeal to the mass majority of people. When listening to their music, it always sounds so well put together with minimal flaws. Their music always seems so elegant, so seamless that one would never think that a lot of their music was actually made with “random” processes. The Beatles are one of the most innovative bands to perform and their exploration with these random processes deserves to be noticed, as these process were at the forefront of their innovation. Being “random” in their music doesn’t necessarily mean that they would place odd noises into their music, which they did, but rather it suggests that they explored sounds and processes that were never …show more content…
This random process can be attributed to The Beatles influence from the art movement called surrealism during the early nineteen hundreds. Surrealism and the “random” process the Beatles engaged in are relatively similar, as the process is derived from the art movement. To understand this process of “random” it is essential to discuss surrealism and its relation to “random” and point out areas in Beatle’s songs that present this process.
As stated above, it is important to understand what surrealism is to see how it relates to the commonly used Beatles process of random implications. When looking at artists paintings during the surrealism era, it becomes noticeable that surrealism artists try to give their audience ambiguous pictures with items placed within one another in odd ways, ways that the average person would never think about.
