What were the Crusades?

The Crusades were a few wars between Christian and Muslim. It happened between the eleventh to thirteen centuries and placed in the Middle East. Crusades were the Christians Holy war against the Muslims to free the Holy Land, particularly Jerusalem and some other reasons that churches and pops were prompted and stressed to reach that.

How many were there?

The number of Crusades was more that 7and the first four crusades war were the most important.

Were they successful?

The Crusades were failures and not considered successful. Only the first and the third war were successful and the rest were failures. They could not recapture the Holy land but the Crusades had significant effect on Europe economic and development
