they are aimed to only help you with the tasks of the job (Harr & Hess 2010). Being able to take this criticism and grow from it is a strong positive characteristic that will set you ahead of others in the long run. Also, it will make you more likeable from others if you take their good advice into account and act on it (Harr & Hess 2010). The last important thing to do is to continue to set goals for yourself within the career path. This will help you continue to grow as a person and not become complacent or unsatisfied with the job (Harr & Hess 2010).
Of course, there is always one possible fate that we must all prepare for. There is always the chance that you lose or are forced to change careers. Now there are a few things that you must

You must be vigilant in the fight to learn and counteract these negative effects. These negative effects do not apply to just being a police officer either. They can apply to any job in the law enforcement from lawyer to probation officers. They all have their negative sides of the job that could potentially apply to the other professions in the criminal justice system as well.
First let’s look at some of the dangers that can be faced on the job. Now every job in law enforcement has some dangers that they must face. Of course, there are situations where the danger is a bit more specific. The first area that I am referring to is the danger that women can face while on the job. Stuff that we might not want to talk to our family about but will inevitably take it home to them as an indirect consequence. One simple thing that can be done is correcting the way we view our work. Now this is not a fix all but for people that view continually negative material it helps them to have a positive view about what they do (Craun et al. 2015). When they had that positive views, they were less likely to suffer from secondary traumatic stress (Craun et al. 2015). This also means that since they were less likely to suffer from STS they were also less likely to bring the symptoms home to their family (Craun et al. 2015). A person suffering from STS is more likely to be overprotective of the family members that could possible suffer from what they have to deal with at work (Craun et al. 2015). This could lead to problems at the home life. Of course, when there are problems in the home life there are problems with work life. It creates some what of a vicious cycle. This of course is called burnout and it is very hard to deal with. It comes in many
