A personal goal that I want to achieve by the end of this college term is to launch my e commerce website and have it running by the start of January 2013. Priority wise this isn’t something I want to rush into. Especially in the online retail field perfection and a professional image is everything. I know if I rush and try and do it in a week it will look sloppy, and be unclear. I am also already working part time and going to school so this goal isn’t too high of a priority but it is something I would like to achieve. Most of the time I have to rely on others to take care of the technical side such as webs hosting and marketing because I have very little knowledge in that field. It can be difficult at times because I am always working on their schedule and it either conflicts with my part time job or school.
An academic goal I want to achieve by the end of this college term is to finish up with a 3.5 or above. I know this is possible because I ended up with a 3.0 last semester while not studying as hard as I could be. This semester I am constantly studying day and night to strive for the 3.5. This is a top priority I have because I would like to join National Honors Society by next term and having a 3.5 or above can earn me scholarships, and even improve my transcript. I also arrange other work outside of school last and make sure I put time and effort when it comes to academics. Difficulty wise this varies. Some classes I may need to spend only 30minutes to an hour revising class work or in some classes such as mathematics I may need to spend hours on one concept because I am stuck on how to do it.
5) Where do you want to be in five years? Do you have specific five-year goals? Establish three goals you want to achieve in five years. Make sure these goals are specific, challenging, and measurable. Five years from now I would like to be working with use of my degree, living in Hong Kong and purchasing a home. The first goal I have is to have a bachelor’s degree in marketing from DePaul. This is challenging because I am not sure if I would like to stick with this major or sometimes it can be unclear on what the outlook of how demanding the marketing degree will be. This is measureable because within this five year time range I can study hard so I can obtain that degree. Once it is earned I can put it to use and place me in a job position in which a bachelor’s degree is needed. Another goal I have is to live in Hong Kong. The main reason I would like to live there is because I have visited frequently in the last two years and instantly fell in love with the country. From the way they live, Hong Kong being the business capital of Asia, being right next door to Mainland China, and more. I found all of these qualities attractive. But this will be a challenge
