Tourists can go crazy about huge buildings and different sorts of architecture, and this is definitely something that tourist can look forward to seeing and getting a good snap of. The strategy is to make the Arch grounds a compelling place to visit, attract more tourists who will stay in downtown hotels and eat in downtown restaurants, creating jobs and tax revenue in the process. The amount of tourist visitors in the first year of the Gateway arch opening was 4.6M, however this plummeted to 1.4M just four years later. This seen a gradual increase then where it was at its second highest in 1996 at 3.6M. With the latest recording of visitors being in 2012, which saw 2.5M visitors that year.
