I chose survivors of the Holocaust as a topic for my medium. Survivors after the Holocaust have opportunities to share their stories, but they will forever remember what they went through when they were in camps. During World War II millions of Jews and other individuals were put into ghettos and later into camps. Many jews did not survive to tell their stories, but a lot of times the survivors that did life wish they had not survived. After being liberated from camps many people could not wrap their minds around what had happened to them. Many different people survived in different ways. Some survivors got hidden by rescuers, others got out on false papers, and others lived in forests to survive. Among the many survivors a certain one has sparked my interest during my research. He was taken from his home and put into the ghetto of Kaunas. He later was transferred into the camp of Dachau which was a concentration camp. There he was forced to work, and with barely any rations. After the liberation of Dachau life for Val was not the same he was the only one in his family left. Val spent six months in a hospital after liberation. This was where he met his wife Ibi, and she was a survivor of the Holocaust herself. As time went on so did their lives. They married and went to England where they remained. Life was never going to be the same, but they were safe.
The medium I decided to do is an artwork with a possible presentation for my audience to look at pictures while I am presenting. I chose art as my medium because I found that many people focus on the people that lost their lives during the
