The Early Years of Adolf Hitler
When you think about the Holocaust you usually think about this name, Adolf Hitler. He caused great amounts of grief and suffering. A person might wonder, What made Hitler do the things he did?” “Why did he persecute the Jews?” Hitler’s childhood, why he joined the army and how he came to power were many reasons that led to his evilness.
Adolf Hitler was leader of Nazi Germany during the year of 1934 to 1945. Hitler was born April 20,1889. He was born in the upper Austrian town called Braunau. His father Alois Hitler was mid-level customs official born out of wedlock to Marie Anne Schicklgruber in 1837. Alois renamed himself after the name of his stepfather who married his mother five years after his birth (Adolf Hitler Early Years,1).

Hitler’s sister paula said “that her brother bullied her and beat her.” Paula thought being beat and pushed around was good for her education. Hitler was abusive with his sister Paula by striking her. She once said, “I feel my brother’s loose hand across my face.” (Krysia Diver,1).
Hitler took over the leadership of the party in July 1921. Hitler tried to persuade people that all Jews were primarily responsible for German plight. He joined the NSDAP and that is why he adopted politics as a career. Hitler’s career began in Munich when he joined the German workers party. In less than 12 years it had become the largest party in Germany and Hitler had become Reich chancellor. With no qualifications Hitler joined the army in August of 1914. The next 26 years of his life he succeeded in going and exercising supreme power in Germany (Jeremy
