There is a misunderstanding that all profits are not good, believed by Christian Leaders. Consequently, business owners should not request financial funding from outside resources. The misunderstanding is the bible teaches about the negative parts of having money, but the scripture’s do not forbid to work and make money, in other words turning down money is not evil when working for it. 1 Timothy 6:10 says, “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs.” (The Holy Bible). The goal of larger business’s is to compose a profit and money. Moreover, the goal of Christian worker’s is to engage in work activities they enjoy so they can help other’s. Christian’s believe that business practices are unethical by reason of not helping consumers. Another example of a normal accepted business practice that are not consistent or agree with Christians beliefs and practices is business marketing or advertisement. All business owners and workers promote their goods by claiming they have the best quantity and quality for consumers. Consequently, these products will save consumers money, be most useful, and operative. The unethical practices of business advertising due to ads being misleading and false is an unfair practice for consumers. In Managerial Economics it says, “Television ads are more “powerful” than radio ads in the sense that the marginal benefits from additional TV ads tend to be larger than those for more radio ads.” (Thomas and Maurice, pp. 105, 2013). False advertisement practices are not used by Christians with consumers, moreover they show how exceptional their products and services are through their actions. Romans 12:2 says, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” (The Holy Bible).
