Knowing how to communicate and articulate knowledge, the flow of information and issues are key from the start. These skills can make or break a unit and their mission. Communication should strive not only to keep everyone informed but to also allow Soldiers to voice concerns. The mission will always remain the highest priority, but the Soldiers’ well-being is not to be forgotten about. Soldiers’ are individuals with hurts and needs just like my own and it is important to never forget it, and he/she will be treated as such. A Soldier will always remember how they were treated and it molds them from the beginning. The expectation of every member of the team is to keep the basics close by at all times and to continue to gain current education on Army training. It is our job, as leaders, to provide the time, equipment and proper learning environment to make this happen. It is crucial for Soldiers to understand where their particular function fits in, their section and the big picture of the mission, as a whole. If we, as leaders, can engage and challenge our subordinates to understand, only then can they begin to function
