Why do we say the Pledge of Allegiance?

Students don’t ever think about why they say the Pledge of Allegiance, we just stand up and say it without thinking about why we are doing this and whether we have to or not. We say the Pledge of Allegiance in schools because it declares patriotism. It instills in the student that we are Americans and that there were many wars to get to where we are now.
Saying the Pledge of Allegiance is important to some people.
