When the founding fathers were creating a document for the new country to follow, they realized the need for flexibility within the rules. This flexibility is important in order for the Constitution to be a living document, giving our government the ability to alter and interpret the constitution as needed. In particular, the ambiguity of the Spending Clause and the Commerce Clause. These are only three parts of the constitution that are extremely vague which gives the government the ability to interpret what it is saying to fit the needs of current situations.
