In a short story” the last dog “by Katherine Patterson, brock the main character lives in a virtual world where he lives in a dome and has never been to outside. The lesson I learned from the story is always try new things don’t be afraid to do something. “the last dog” was a really good story the author was very unique about brock and told how brock likes to try new things he always has lived in the dome and has never been to the outside and did not know what would be out there and what would happen if he went out there but he took that chance and did go outside to see what would be out there.

Brock left the dome to go to the outside he left by himself, he came back with a dog, the people who wanted to do experiments on him and brock would not let them do experiments on the dog , so they could see what to do with …show more content…
I like the them about the story cause brock never get to try new things but when he made that chose to go outside the dome, he got to try new things he got to see new things he never got to see he got to see the nature and all the flowers and trees, then he finally seen a dog and named it brog , brog was his only friend and he loved brog, brock got said when the puppy didn’t have a friend and brock wanted to leave cause everything was the same in the dome and he didn’t like that he thought there was more stuff out there in the real world instead of the virtual world
