Ethics are critical competent for any profession but most would argue that they are especially important to professionals in health and human services. Ethical guidelines are a set of standard of conduct which the human service professionals and educators consider in ethical and professional decision making. It is hoped that these guidelines will be of assistance when humans service professionals and educators are challenged by a difficult ethical dilemma. Although ethical does are not legal documents, they may be used to assist in the adjudication of issues related too ethical humans service behavior.
