COMPARE AND CONTRAST In this paper i will be talking about two different short stories. I will be speaking about the short stories "The Story of an Hour" and "The Necklace". I will say their similarities such as they way the characters feel. I will also talk about the differences between the situaations they are in and the way they act in response to the situation. Stay tuned and dont forget the popcorn, enjoy. In the short story "The Story of an Hour" there is a woman who has a very bad heart desease. Her condition makes it to where she cant have too much stress or heart break. This lead to a lot of drinking and heart break and just a whole lot of bad thing. Although there were plenty of guys who liked her none of them liked her for anything other than her body. she felt sad and all alone and isolated. Just like the last short story you could say she felt loveless. I think you are starting to see where i am going with this. Both of the girls suffered in the same style of things just different experences. The girl from "The Story of an Hour" her husband died and she felt so alone and was always sad and felt unloved. The girl from "The Necklace" went to party was very popular but no one truly loved her so she felt alone was always sad and felt unloved. These are just some of the simularities. Just like they are somewhat simular they are also different. In "The Story of an Hour" she already had a very bad heart condition. The girl in "The Necklace" had no health issues at all. "The Story of an Hour" her husband died.In "The Necklace" no one she loved died and she lived a fairly normal life.
