1. The Things They Carried is the best English book that we have read. This book tells war stories mainly from the point of view of the author, Tim O’Brien, while he was in the Vietnam War. The stories describe the hardships the soldiers had to endure, along with lighthearted stories to soften up the story a bit. This book is the best out of all of them because of how easy it was to read and how the book kept the reader continuously turning the pages to find out what happened next. The Things They Carried gave a great insight on the Vietnam War and told the stories that needed to be told.

The Odyssey takes place at last for the ten novels read outside of class. This is the most different of all the other books read. The Odyssey takes place in a very ancient time long ago. The long length of this book was dreadful as it was also hard to read and understand what was going on. There are numerous characters in this book that all have complex names and ties to one another somehow. Odysseus is the main character of the story. The Odyssey tells of his long journey home after the war, and the troubles he had to go through. Peace however is acquired at the end of the novel.
11. A Midsummer Night’s Dream is a Shakespearean work that was read outside of class for the video project. This play was written long ago and has language that is hard to understand and speak. The story tells of four young Athenians who all get caught up in the mess of a love triangle. The problems they endure from the effects of a love potion cause chaos, but in the end everything is restored. Like most Shakespeare plays, this play was overall long and dreadful. The complexity of the writing style does not appeal to a lot of young readers of this
