To begin, Concealed carry laws should they or shouldn’t they exist? First, concealed carry could cause more harm than good, make a simple argument turn into a homicide, gun related homicides, assault robberies, automobile theft, and burglaries, have increased tremendously over the last decade. However, guns could possibly come in handy during some situations.

First of all, “Despite claims by supporters, concealed carry laws do not reduce deter crime” (King 26). Next, “A survey of convicted felons found they were more likely to use guns because their victims might be armed” (King 26). In the past, in 1995 a study of five of the major cities showed that gun related homicides increased by an outstanding amount of 4.5 per 100,000 people in the states that allowed civilians to carry concealed weapons. (King 26). Last, “Another study conducted over 33 years found that concealed carry states have increases in assaults, robberies, auto theft, and burglaries” (King 26).

In addition, “Take the January 2014 shooting by a retired police officer with a concealed hand gun who killed another man over an argument about texting in a movie theater” (King 26). In fact, people that carry a concealed weapon are most likely to bring it out during an argument that would not have blood shed if they didn’t have a weapon involved. (King
