In this day, police brutality has been a regular routine across the United States. Many incidents of force had been captured in recording and spread it across the social media. Comprehension is the key word for officers to understand the meaning of distributive thinking on handling the situations. Researchers found that eighty-four percent of individuals had experience the use of excessive force and inappropriate actions by the police. People all over YouTube post videos of police officers brutality yet what happen priors to those events? Everyone get in an uproar about the police but they do not see the whole picture why the behavior took place. In Rialto, California police who worn body cameras have shown better policing and decreased the use of excessive force. For example, using this kind of equipment may cause better behavior between officers and citizens. According to Rialto’s experts, eighty-eight percent of public complaints against officers has been dropped enormously as well as, use of force decreased sixty percent by officers after cameras were introduced (2012). Police officers are more careful about their behaviors and actions because the cameras made them to be aware. Rialto’s police chief Tony Farrar once said “When you know you’re being watched you behave a little better. That’s just human nature,” (Farrar. 2012) this means we all have that conscious in our heads knowing what is right from wrong. Not only officers are aware, but also the citizens as well.
