Most people thought that if the Constitution was ratified, that the common folk would lose power. They thought that the government would take all the power, which was what people were treated like in Germany. This belief was what led people thinking that the Constitution was a bad idea. We know how the Constitution was a bad idea because it took away people's freedom. Let us look at some positive outcomes that came with ratifying the Constitution. One reason it was good was that before the Constitution that ruled the government of the USA was falling apart and that the tension among the people grew across the land. As the owner of a newspaper put it, ”the melancholy faces of our working people...our ships rotting..the insults that are offered to the American name.” This idea of a Constitution sparked a piece of hope in people's mind. There was no order to keep together the people of the USA without it. Many people saw this as an opportunity for the US to grow. These reasons show that the Constitution was a good idea to keep the law and
