The holocaust is a terrible event in history. Jewish people in the holocaust were taken away and killed because of their religion. Jewish children were treated just the same as Jewish adults. In some cases, the children were treated worse because they were too young to do anything. 11 million Jewish people were killed during the holocaust.
Children of the Holocaust
Jewish children in the holocaust were shown no sympathy. Holocaust children were killed faster than adults because they could not do hard labor, and they were considered “useless eaters”. Example of children being treated the same as adults is with Eva and Abraham. Both Eva and Abraham (children in the holocaust) were soon deported to Auschwitz death camp in Poland, where both were murdered on arrival. They are hundreds of stories just like Eva and Abraham in the holocaust. “An 11 year old girl was beaten senseless and left for dead” (Altman 8). Many children were left for dead, tortured, and starved. Nazi would persecute, arrest and deport all members of the Jewish family, without concern for age. 1.5 million Jewish children under the age of 16 were killed in the holocaust.

Nazi showed no sympathy for the babies, instead they had fun killing them. “A truck drew close and unloaded its hold: small children, Babies! Yes, i did see this, with my own eyes… children thrown into the flames(Wiesel 32).” Newborn babies were killed immediately after birth because they were not needed.
